Popface is supporting "The Appleseed Cast" on their consert at Kvateret 20.05.06 & John Dee 21.05.06. The Appleseed Cast is an indie rock band based in Lawrence, Kansas and is currently comprised of singer/guitarist Christopher Crisci, guitarist Aaron Pillar, bassist Marc Young and drummer Nathan Richardson. The band is widely respected in the underground music scene for their experimental style, unconventional rhythm section (particularly on drums) and for their unique stylistic changes between albums in both musical and thematic elements. Many fans will attest that no two Appleseed Cast albums sound quite alike (with the obvious exception of Vol. 1 & 2 of the Low Level Owl records). check out their music on this Link!! |

Popface will be appearing in various newspapers, magazines, television and radio stations the following weeks. |

Our friend and director Jon Selnes started shooting the video “Teardropper” yesterday (Sunday 05.02.06). Eight year old Truls Aamodt is the star in the video which will be the next single from the album. Truls has two years experience from the Children's and Youth Theatre at the Rogaland Theatre. It's going to be really exciting to see how it turns out! As far as we know everything is proceeding as planned… |

Popface fourth full-lenght album is in store the 20th of February 2006. The name of the album is "Eleven Pieces Of A Broken Heart". It contains eleven beautiful songs, some instrumental and some with vocals. The music has been described as melancolic art pop. |

Popface played their annual X-MAS concert at Cementen on the 22nd of December 2005. The concert was sold out and many people did not get in to see the show. The band played songs from their forthcomming album "Eleven pieces of a broken heart" and feedback was good. |

The first single from the album "Eleven Pieces Of A Broken Heart" was released 01.12.2005. The name of the singel is "In The Night". The single also contains the song "The December Snowfall", taken from CCAP 2004 X-MAS-album "Not Just Another X-MAS Album". | 25.01.2006 Recording and mixing finished! |
|
The recording and mixing of the new album was finished this week. After years, month, days and nights in the studio, we are finally there. The album has been produced by F. Johannessen & Stig Kleppe, and has been recorded at three different locations: Frode's livingroom, Stig Kleppe's studio Winter Soundworks and at Inge Riska's studio Lydforum. The mixing of the album took place at Lydforum. The album is now being shipped to Sweden, where it's beeing mastered by Bjørn Engelmann. |
